1460   Error: AMFC module information does not match instrument type. Check Ar AMFC cable or replace Ar AMFC.

The firmware checks AMFC module information at EEPROM of the AMFC. It should be 0xFFFF (AMFC for Agilent ICP-MS). This error occurs If the module information from AMFC does not match. The following are the probable causes.

• Disconnected, poorly connected or malfunctioning cable.
• Fault in the Ar gas AMFC module.
