Vial Number

For the 21/24/40/60/90 position sample racks, a vial number is represented by a 4 digit number (xyzz) as follows.

x: A rack number (1 to 4)
y: A column number
zz: A row number from 01

Where the range of the column and row numbers depends on the used sample racks. For example, 4601 means a vial position composed of the column “6” and row “01” on tray 4. The following figure shows the tray numbers on the deployment diagram.

For the 96-well microtiter plates, a vial number is represented by a 5 digit character string (Px-yzz) connected with a hyphen as follows.

Px: A plate number (P1 to P8)
y: A column character (A to H)
zz: A row number (01 to 12)

For example, P1-F09 means a vial position composed of the column “F” and row “09” on plate 1. The following figure shows the plate number on the deployment diagram.
