[100% Normalization-Calibration Setup] dialog box

Configure settings to correct the data analysis results of laser ablation analysis using the "100% Normalization-Calibration".

Setting Table

[Exc.] column

Turns on elements to be excluded from correction calculations.

Selected elements are not used in the "100% Normalization-Calibration" calculations for FullQuant and SemiQuant analysis.

[Atomic Number] column

Displays the atomic numbers. Elements that have not been quantified are displayed in gray.

[Element] column

Displays the element symbols. Elements that have not been quantified are displayed in gray.

[Compound] column

Enter the chemical formula of the compound contained in the sample. The entered compositional formula is recognized as shown below.

If the element symbol in the row is not included in the composition formula, it is not used in calculations.
If the same element symbol is entered multiple times, it is not used in calculations.
(Input example: MgOMg)
Divide before the capital letter of the alphabet and use it as the element name.
(Input example: aMgOH, 2MgOH⇒MgOH)
If uppercase and lowercase letters appear side by side, they are ignored if they are not element symbols.
(Input example: MgOaH⇒MgH)
The 1-digit number (including 0) immediately after the division is regarded as the stoichiometric coefficient.
(Input example: Mg2OH, Mg20OH⇒Mg2OH)
If there is a character other than a number immediately after the division, the stoichiometric coefficient is assumed to be 1.
(Input example: Mg#2OH⇒MgOH)

[Fraction] column

If anything is entered in the [Compound] column, the value will be automatically calculated.

You can edit the mass fraction (3 decimal places) if necessary.

Elements that have not been quantified are displayed in gray.

[OK]

Applies your settings and closes the dialog box.

Next, click [Process Batch] from the [Batch Option] group on the [Home] tab.

[Cancel]

Discards the settings and closes the dialog box.

Turn on [Enable Laser Ablation Expansion] in the [Options] category in the Data Analysis [Settings] dialog box, then click [100% Normalization-Calibration Setup] in the [LA Quant] group on the Data Analysis [Home] tab.
