[Configure User Access Control] dialog box

The following conditions must be met when setting or changing User Access Control.

[Enable User Access Control]

Mark the check box to use the User Access Control function.

[Turn User Access Control perpetually on]

When you select this check box and click [OK], a confirmation message is displayed.

When you click [OK] in the confirmation message, User Access Control is always enabled and cannot be disabled.

This feature is not available in SDA Integration.

[Configure Audit Trail Map]

Set the area of access restrictions.

[Lock UI Time]

The time before MassHunter is locked when no user operations are performed is displayed. When "0" is displayed, LockTime is disabled.

Once MassHunter is locked, you need to enter user authentication to activate MassHunter.

Settings cannot be performed here because they are performed in the Agilent Open Lab Control Panel.

[Grace Period]

Enter the grace period for user authentication. The grace period allows for more productive use of software by offering user friendly functions such as allowing a series of parameter changes to be made without having to enter the password each time. Once the password is entered the first time, it does not need to be entered again during the grace period. If a change requires that a reason is entered, the [User Validation and Reason] dialog box still appears during this period, but the User and Password areas are grayed out. A value of "0" minutes means there is no grace period, and user authentication is required each time.

[Database System]

The installed database system is displayed.

[Delete Local cache on MassHunter exit]

When this item is selected, the local cache is deleted when you exit MassHunter.

[Delete local cache on MassHunter exit] is left unchecked by default. If the batch is not available in your local cache, MassHunter downloads the batch from the server to your local cache. This download can take some time if there are a lot of samples in the batch.

We recommend clearing the cache (Clear Cache) when the batch is no longer used frequently and can be archived.

Protect Local Data

When [Protect Local Data] is on, Protect Mode is enabled which prevents falsification of batches or batch results during SDA/ECM use. Default is ON.

In Protect Mode, MassHunter behaves as follows:

Folder Path

In the case of ECM Integration, the folder location of ECM to store data is displayed.

The folder location to store data is displayed for OpenLab Server Products or Workstation Plus Integration. To select a folder, click [Synchronize].

In the case of SDA Integration, the database name and location of SDA to store data is displayed. To select a folder, click [Browse].

Browse

To select a folder click [Browse].

In the case of ECM, you will then be required to login to the OpenLab ECM Server to access the OpenLab ECM Explorer window. Refer to ECM documentation and to Chapter 3 in the "ICP-MS MassHunter Workstation User Access Control Pack" manual for more information.

In the case of SDA, the [Login] dialog box will open, requiring Administrative logon by user with ICPMHAdmin rights. This is the logon control of the User Access Control Pack for MassHunter. After logon, the Database Folder Selector dialog box appears. Refer to SDA online Help for more information.

Synchronize

In the case of OpenLab Server Products or Workstation Plus, the [Login] dialog box will open, requiring Administrative logon by user with ICPMHAdmin rights. This is the logon control of the User Access Control Pack for MassHunter. After logon, the Database Folder Selector dialog box appears. Refer to OpenLab Server Products or Workstation Plus online Help for more information.

Server

In the case of ECM, the name of the ECM Server is displayed. Refer to ECM documentation and to Chapter 3 in the "MassHunter Workstation User Access Control Pack" manual for more information.

In the case of OpenLab Server Products or Workstation Plus, the OpenLab Server Products or Workstation Plus Host name is displayed. Refer to OpenLab Server Products or Workstation Plus online Help for more information.

In the case of SDA, the SDA Host (SQLExpress) name is displayed. Refer to SDA online Help for more information.

<Upload Local Batch>

This button is displayed when [Protect Local Data] is on while using SDA/ECM.

This function is used for specific troubleshooting.

If there is inconsistency between the data on the database and the data on the hard disk for any reason, an error indicating that tampering was found in the batch is displayed, and the batch may not be opened. In this situation, you can use this function to correct inconsistencies and open the batch.

When uploading is complete, the results are displayed in the [Result] dialog box.

You can also check these in the ICP-MS MassHunter log from the Windows Event View.

For details on using ECM, OpenLab Server Products,  Workstation Plus, and SDA, refer to "Operations When Database Systems Are Used".

<OK>

Applies the settings.

<Clear Cache>

This button is displayed for OpenLab Server Products,  Workstation Plus, ECM, and SDA Integration.

You can delete the local cache for the selected batch.
