Before operating the autosampler, check the following items.
Check that the settings in the software are correct. If the distance allotted for arm travel is too great, the needle can contact the table, twist and/or break off.
Make sure there is nothing to interfere with the operations of the arm, needle, and tubing. Any contact with foreign objects can damage or deform the autosampler, and cause fluids to squirt or leak out of the instrument.
To check the SPS 4 operation after setting up:
Check that the power/error indicator on the front of the autosampler is green after running the initialization sequence.
