[Sample Introduction Maintenance] dialog box

The Sample Introduction Maintenance dialog box lets you open the argon gas and optional gas supply valve of the instrument and to confirm gas flows. This dialog box also lets you move the torch box when you do maintenance on the sample introduction area.

<Outputs>

Maintenance set point for the flow rates of the support gases.

Open Ar Gas Valve:

This opens the Ar gas supply valve in the instrument.

Open OP Gas Valve:

This opens the Optional gas supply valve in the instrument.

Select Gas:

Select [Makeup Gas] or [Dilution Gas].

Enable Temperature Control:

Select this item to enable the temperature control.

Chiller ON/OFF:

Selects when to turn on the Chiller.

 

Optional gas is an Instrument option and can only be used if the Optional Gas option is installed.

 

Plasma Gas:

Sets a flow rate for plasma gas.

Aux Gas:

Sets a flow rate for auxiliary gas.

Nebulizer Gas:

Sets a flow rate for nebulizer gas (also called carrier gas).

MakeUp/Dilution Gas:

Sets a flow rate for Makeup gas or Dilution gas.

Optional Gas:

Sets a flow rate for optional gas.

Temperature:

Sets the temperature of the spray chamber.

<Inputs>

The current value of the selected gas flow rates or gas pressures are displayed.

<Peripump>

Lets you set the rotation speed for the peristaltic pumps.

<Torch Position>

Initialize:

Moves the torch box to its front home position.

Maintenance:

Moves the torch box to a maintenance position, which lets you access the cones for maintenance. Remove the torch box cover before you execute this command for cone maintenance.

ISIS (when the instrument is equipped with ISIS 2)

Lets you set the rotation speeds of pumps 1 and 2 of the ISIS 2 and also the switching of the valves.

AVS (when the instrument is equipped with AVS)

Lets you set the rate of the pump for the AVS and also the valve switching.

Enter

Updates the value in the text box.

Close

Closes the Sample Introduction Maintenance dialog box. The gas flow is reset to 0.0 and the argon valve is also turned off at that time. Torch position remains in its current position.
