Restrictions on features when using Database Integration
When using Database Integration, the following MassHunter features are
restricted.
- Text boxes that specify a path are read-only and you cannot change
the path.
- [Export Table] and [Export Selected Area] menus in [QC
Configuration] window are hidden.
- [Update] in Lab
QC is disabled, and MassHunter never updates the LabQC file.
- The menu to launch the Report Designer is hidden. When you use
the Report Designer, select [ICP-MS MassHunter Workstation] - [Custom
Sample Report Designer] from the Windows [Start] button, and then
select the batch.
- The functions to run scripts are disabled. If a batch has been
configured to run scripts on the [Worklist
Actions] Pane, the validation method returns an error.
- LIMS functions
- Export
Selected Samples normally uses the UploadLIMSFile.icpms.script
in the \Agilent\ICPMH\LIMS folder, but for database integration
mode, it uses the UploadLIMSFile.icpms.script in the \Program
Files\Agilent\ICPMH\Bin folder instead.
- MassHunter online Help
The online Help cannot be launched even if you click the [Help]
button or press the [F1] key. To view the online Help, select [ICP-MS
MassHunter Workstation] - [ICP-MS MassHunter Help] from the Windows
[Start] button.
- OpenLab Server/ECM XT online Help
All of the help buttons on dialog boxes for selecting folders/files
stored in OpenLab Server/ECM XT are hidden. The [F1] key does not
open OpenLab Server/ECM XT Help.
- Folder/File dialog box
- The following folder/file dialog boxes are used for selecting
or saving files not in the database;
- [Open File] dialog box
- [Save as] dialog box

the initial folder. When the current folder is the initial folder,
the Up button (Upward arrow button) is disabled.

list and tile) via the context menu.
- Users can create new folders via the context menu.

a file/folder.

folder. However, the file dialog boxes for selecting the report
template path is the \Agilent\ICPMH\Report Template folder.
- These dialog boxes and the ExportedFiles folder are used for
[Export Table] / [Selected Area] / [Table with transposition]
for the batch table, [Export Signal to Noise Report], [Export
Area Percent Report], [Export Summary] and [Save Column Settings]
that are used to generate files in the batch folder. Additionally,
the [Open File] dialog box is used for [Load User Column Settings]
and users can load column settings only from the ExportedFiles
folder.
