Column Functions

The terms "AOF", "Action on Failure", and "Action Failure" have been changed to "Error Action" in MassHunter 4.4.

Sample Type

"Sample type" refers not only to the sample type displayed in the Sample List Pane (Sequence), but also to the ISTD items and other items whose expected values are used. To edit, double-click a cell to open the [Edit Criteria] dialog box. You can use up to 8 alphanumeric characters.

Full Name

Displays the full name for the Sample types. The full name is displayed in the reports. The full name can be edited directly in the cells.

Suffix

Displays the text that is added to the second half of the data file name.

When the Sample List Pane (Sequence) is edited, if the data file names are not specified, the data file names are automatically created during the run of the sequence. The file names will consist of the 3-digits numerical sequence and the suffix (e.g. 001CALB, 002CALS or 003_CCV).

The suffix can be edited directly in the cells. You can use up to 4 alphanumeric characters.

ISTD

Selects whether to check the ISTD, and which ISTD reference item to use. For example, US EPA method 6020 has different ISTD limits for QC samples and other samples. Therefore, two ISTD items are required, and you will need to specify for each sample which of the two ISTD items is to be used.

Count As Sample

When this item is checked, the sample type is counted by the counter for the [Periodic Block] sheet on the Sample List Pane (Sequence). For example, the QC type samples must not be counted as sample when using US EPA method 6020.

Skip Samples After Last Error Action

Error2

3rd Error Action

You can specify "Abort", "Next Sample", or "Same Sample" as the "3rd Error Action".
