LC (non cap-LC)

  1. Click [Configure Ignition Sequence] on the Startup Pane toolbar, and then select [User Tune]. Also turn on [Set as Global Tune] in the User Tune Pane toolbar.
  2. Setup a No Gas tune mode in User tune. Tune it as usual, using peripump as a sample introduction system. Because the standard LC flow rate is higher than the usual peripump speed, set the peripump speed higher than under normal conditions. 1 ml/min ≒ 0.3 rps.
  3. Select No Gas mode as the Set Base Tune for Startup. For an s-model, select <None> as the Base Cool Tune Mode.
  4. Turn on "Custom Settings" in Startup tasks. Set the masses included in your P/A factor solution as the P/A factor adjustment parameters.
  5. Select [PeriPump] as the Sample Introduction. Do not connect LC tubing to ICP-MS; instead keep the sample introduction tubing using the peripump.
  6. Ignite plasma and run the Startup.

Turn on the LC pump to stabilize, but do not introduce the solution from LC to ICP-MS.

  7. When the Startup tasks are operating except for the P/A factor, introduce 1ppb tune solution to the peripump.
  8. When the Startup tasks are operating for the P/A factor, introduce the P/A factor adjustment solution to the peripump.
  9. Stop the LC pump and connect its tubing to the ICP-MS, and then restart the LC pump.

Select [Agilent 1200 LC] as the Sample Introduction.

Set the ICP-MS peripump speed so that it is fast enough (usually 0.3 to 0.4 rps) to drain the waste.

  10. Create or open a Batch for data acquisition, and then start data acquisition.
