This section describes the general workflow for element analysis with this instrument.
For more information about each operation, refer to the respective sections.
The instrument is usually in standby mode when you begin operation. If the power to the instrument is turned off, refer to Starting from Shutdown Mode in Starting the Instrument from Cold to put the instrument into standby mode. Have the target samples and the standard solution ready for use. If you use an autosampler, turn on the autosampler and make sure that the communication cable is connected before you start MassHunter.
Start MassHunter Workstation |
Start the MassHunter Workstation software. |

Check the Hardware Settings |
Configure and check the settings such as the presence of an autosampler and the types of the nebulizer and lens. |

|
Prepare for Analysis |
Check the gas pressure and cooling water, and then set the tuning solution, standard solution, samples, internal standard solution, and so on to the autosampler. |

|
Turn Plasma ON / Execute Startup |
After plasma ignition, run Startup to optimize the instrument. |

|
Check Instrument Status |
Check meter values to see the instrument status. |
|
|
Create Batch |
Create a batch, and configure the acquisition method, data analysis method, and sample list. |
|
|
Execute Queue |
Add the created batch to the queue and start the acquisition. |
|
|
Check Analysis Results |
The analysis results can be viewed on the panes in the ICP-MSICP-QQQ Data Analysis window. |
|
|
Generate Reports |
Generate a sample report or quick batch report. |
|
|
Save Analysis Results |
Save Analysis results. |
|
|
Turn Plasma OFF |
Turn off the plasma. |
|
|
Exit MassHunter Workstation |
Exit the MassHunter Workstation software. |
